These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and Lurner AI Technologies Private Limited ("Lurner," "we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the Lurner website and mobile application.

1. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, the entire Site—including the AI features, learning spaces, and all AI-generated materials (summaries, flashcards, quizzes)—plus all underlying code and marks, are owned or controlled by us.

Your License to Use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial, revocable license to access and use Lurner for your personal educational purposes only. You agree not to access or copy content through automated means (bots, scrapers) without written permission.

User-Uploaded Content

You retain ownership of the materials you upload (PDFs, recordings, etc.). You grant us a license to process and analyze that content solely to provide our services, subject to copyright law and fair-use principles.

2. Recording & Content Policy

Lurner emphasizes the importance of upholding legal and institutional regulations concerning the recording and sharing of educational content.

Institutional Compliance: Users must not upload any material that contravenes the policies set by their school, workplace, or instructor.
Copyright Adherence: You must not upload material protected by copyright unless you have explicit permission. This includes faculty-generated lecture notes and slides.
Privacy: Recording or sharing sensitive private conversations that breach privacy laws is strictly prohibited.

By utilizing our platform, users agree to indemnify Lurner against any legal action taken due to the unauthorized recording or sharing of material.

3. Honor Code (Academic Integrity)

Our platform is designed to complement and reinforce learning, not to replace the effort of personal study. Misuse of our platform to facilitate cheating, fraud, or academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.

This includes soliciting or distributing test answers or plagiarizing content. We reserve the right to share publicly posted content and account information with universities and academic institutions if misconduct is identified.

4. Fees and Payment

All transactions are processed securely through Stripe. We support major credit/debit cards and digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.).

Subscriptions: Pro Plan subscriptions auto-renew on a recurring basis until canceled.
Price Changes: We may change prices at any time with notice to users.
Student Discount: Students with valid verification are eligible for a 20% discount on the Pro Plan.

5. Fulfillment & Refund Policy

Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new web subscriptions. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable except in cases of unresolved technical malfunctions.

Note: App Store purchases must be refunded directly through Apple.

Cancellations

You can cancel anytime through your billing portal. You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

6. Copyright Infringement (DMCA)

If you believe any material on Lurner infringes your copyright, please notify us at contact@lurner.in with:

A description of the copyrighted work.
The location of the material on our platform.
Your contact information and signature.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved after 90 days, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration. The governing law shall be the laws of the State of Delaware (or as applicable to the jurisdiction of Lurner AI Technologies Private Limited).
